A Fanuc CRX10iA/L Cobot is used to load a round stamped component gripping on the inside diameter of the part using Schunk grippers. The workholding being used is a custom 3J Step Collet fixture holding two parts at a time. The CNC machine is a Brother Speedio R450X1 Vertical machining center with pallet switching. Clamping is activated by CNC program M-Code using a dual acting air-over-oil hydraulic pump. Fixtures and hydraulic infrastructure provided by PAWS Workholding.
Automated CNC manufacturing cell using a Nachi MZ-12 six axis Robot to load round steel billets into an eight station 3J collet fixture. Robot is tending two Brother Speedio S700 milling centers. The parts are A/C fittings used in tube and hose assemblies for the Heavy Truck industry. Made in two orientations, parts must be re-gripped after flipping. Part flipping hardware and robot grippers are standard Schunk products. All fixtures and hydraulic infrastructure provided by PAWS Workholding.
A seventy-two inch aluminum extrusion being machined two at a time in a Brother Speedio S700 CNC machining center. Parts are loaded through the side of the machine and pulled through the CNC using the Schunk PGN-plus-P 100-2-IS spindle gripper powered by high pressure coolant. Parts exit machine through side of CNC onto a conveyor system. All clamping and unclamping is done through the CNC program using M-Codes. Custom fixtures and hydraulic infrastructure provided by PAWS Workholding.
Aluminum automotive component being fully machined on five sides in one workholding orientation. CNC being used is a Brother Speedio R650X2 pallet switching hi-speed machining Center. Parts is being probed multiple times for removal of internal webbing and a Right-Angled Head is being used to machine side holes and chamfers. The removable part stop is retracted before machining starts using M-Coded pneumatics. Hydraulic infrastructure and air-part detection designed and installed by PAWS Workholding.
High volume copper electrical control component being machined on a Brother Speedio R450X1 pallet switching CNC milling center. Part is being held in a hydraulically activated Multi-Vise fixture provided by PAWS Workholding company. All clamping and un-clamping is being done through M-Codes in the CNC program. Maximum part density allows for less tool change time and higher spindle utilization. Spindle probe is being used in manufacturing process to detect any operator mis-loads before cutting begins.
CNC process shows the machining of high volume aluminum extruded A/C fittings for tube and hose assemblies that go into heavy trucks. PAWS Workholding Multi-Vise fixture with automated hydraulic clamping is being demonstrated. Mutiple-part, high-density fixtures minimize tool change time and maximize spindle up time to provide more parts per shift. Machining center is a high-speed Brother Speedio R450X1 vertical milling center with a 16K RPM spindle and pallet switching capabilities.
Aluminum automotive radiator cap being held on its inside diameter by custom designed ID collets that are clamped and unclamped using M-Code activated hydraulics. Nikken CNCZ 180 Rotary Table is being used to access three sides of the part to complete the precision machining. Parts are running on a high speed Brother Speedio S700 milling center. All custom fixtures and hydraulic infrastructure are provided by PAWS Workholding.
Machining process using a 5C Collet workholding system and a Right-Angled Head to produce the cross hole needed on a brass sporting industry part. Parts are automatically clamped and unclamped using M-Code activation in the CNC program. CNC machine being used is a Brother Speedio R450X1 with pallet switching capabilities. Rotary table used is a Nikken CNCZ180. All fixtures and hydraulic infrastructure provided by PAWS Workholding.
Heavy truck A/C tube and hose component being machined on multi-axis trunnion multi-vise fixture. Rotary table used is Nikken CNCZ180 with tail support. Clamping and unclamping is automated using M-Codes in CNC program. CNC machine utilized is Brother Speedio R450X1 pallet switching machine for increased productivity. Workholding fixtures, custom eight port coolant manifold, and hydraulic infrastructure supplied by PAWS Workholding. Low profile wedge clamps used on multi-vise fixture are PAWS Vise Force 2 machinable jaw clamps.
Complex steel fitting being machined for use in A/C tube and hose assembly for heavy truck industry. Fixture is an automated custom 3J step-collet. Fixture is clamped and unclamped using M-Code activation and hydraulics. Nikken CNCZ180 Rotary table is used to access three sides of the part to make it complete. CNC machine being used is Brother Speedio R450X1 high speed machining center with pallet switching capabilities. All fixtures and hydraulic infrastructure designed and installed by PAWS Workholding.
Workholding fixture in this process is a sixteen station 5C Collet system clamping on the outside diameter of a round aluminum part. A custom form tool is being used to put complex geometry into the inside diameter of the part. Maximum part density and automated clamping reduces tool change time and operator load/unload time. CNC Machine is a pallet switching Brother Speedio R450X1 high speed machining center. Parts are checked for operator mis-load prior to machining using a Renishaw spindle probe. All fixtures and hydraulic infrastructure provided by PAWS workholding.
